ABCC Organizes "Investment Opportunities in Jordan" Forum

Dr. Omar Al Razzaz, the Jordanian Prime Minister said that "Jordan seeks to ensure the right of all to education, adding that the Jordanian talent has shown brilliance at the local and international levels." He also pointed out that "the young people under 30 make up 70 per cent of the population and have a high level of education, which makes them able to contribute to the development of the region and the world," noting that more than 23 per cent of entrepreneurs in the region are Jordanians.

The Arab British Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Jordanian Embassy in London, organized an event entitled "Investment Opportunities in Jordan" to explore the various investment sectors that Jordan provides.

Mr. Omar Al-Nahar, Jordan's ambassador to UK, said that "Jordan is moving forward and hopes to rely on itself completely, but it faces difficult economic challenges as a result of the turmoil in the region." He also pointed out that "the country, despite the difficulties, is characterized by a creative and determined people, in addition to its strategical investment location, considering that “Jordan provides a door for more than one billion consumers and connects between Europe, Africa and Asia”.

Mr. Bandar Ali Reda, the Secretary General & Chief Executive Officer of ABCC, presented the speakers who reviewed the strengths of the Jordanian market in attracting the foreign investment.
